I always edit the raws to a clean black and white, erasing their dialog and save it to ,png considering that it gives better quality to the image. In the first week I’m working for the chapter, when I’m nearly finished on editing the pages, I’ve noticed that I’ve unconsciously saved the previous pages into .jpeg instead of .png. I gave an attempt on re-editing them into clean .png, to have clean copy but, I find it too much work and a waste of my hard work with the previous ones so I let it as it is and saved it to .png when I saved it after translating instead. That’s why, if you always download directly from my links here, you’ll notice that chapter 13 is quite messy than the other chapters I released. I really feel bad about it but I’m already excited in releasing another chapter so I tried not to mind them that much.
I’ve recently check the status of my run and find it quite slow and I noticed that I usually release between February to March, August to September and December. I am not sure how it is in the other group but I find it slow because I’ve only released 12 chapters in two years for more than two volumes which means I’m releasing 4-5 chapters per year which means I could release a volume per year. If you compute it, considering that I’m soon to be in the 4th volume and Mirumo de Pon! has 12 volume, it’ll going to take about 9 years for me to finish the series which means it is already 18 years old ever since the series has end and I am not sure if I can still do it because I still have two and half years before graduating. So I end up thinking, will I able to work on it when I’m already busy with my job? That probably I am already busy with my kids? I care so much for the series and I don’t want to leave it in the middle.
About the anime series, I started working with them since 2012 in March, had the first release in August, releasing 14 episodes in a year, releasing 10 episodes in 2013 and this year, we had released 5 episodes in 6 months. I have translated up to 40 episodes with our new translator (yay! her translations will be seen from 31+) and just waiting for the touch up. There’s 11 more episodes left and I believe we can finish translating it this year, but not sure if we’ll be able to complete on releasing the first season this year. If you sum everything up, it took us 2 years to finish one season. So if the golden season has 51 episodes, wonderful has 48 episodes and charming has 22 episodes, it’ll take 5 more years to finish the Anime series which is longer than the original run. Wow. (Lol, sorry for computing XD) But I hope it’ll become more productive considering that there are two translators now, including me.
Because of the incident(lol) about the file name thingy, it made me think to hire editing-experienced and trust worthy people. Also, I’m finding someone who’s good at grammar to be a proof reader. If you are interested to help, feel free to leave a comment and we’ll talk about the stuff later on. Of course, I’ll give test before accepting. 🙂 Through this, maybe the release of the manga would be easier so, I’m looking forward for the cooperation 😀
Anyway, related to the next chapter, Omake has so much pages and I’m thinking of releasing it separated with the 14th chapter if I wasn’t able to finish it on September since I’m going to be busy from the third week of the month.
